MISSION & VISION OF THE VFW

Our Mission: To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans. 

Our Vision: Ensure that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements, and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this great country.

Soldiers

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1156 was chartered on Saturday, March 29, 1924.  Our Post honors David Potts, Jr., a resident of Mamaroneck who was killed in action during the final days of World War I.  Our motto is "Veterans Serving Veterans and the Community."

Regular meetings are held at the Senior Center on the second Monday of the month, starting at 7:30.  Snacks are served at 7PM.  Prospective members are always welcome.
